Amnesty report: Egypt holding Israeli-Egyptian without trial

International human rights organization Amnesty published a scrutinizing report on Egypt's security apparatus, following the arrest of Egyptian-Israeli citizen Ouda Suleiman Tarabin has been held in Egyptian prison since 1999.

 

Tarabin was detained after crossing the border with Egypt illegally. An Egyptian military tribunal convicted him of espionage and sentenced him to 15 years in prison. However, according to the report, Tarabin was never brought in front of a judge, and numerous attempts to obtain a copy of his conviction failed. (Ynet)
