UK advises Britons in Syria to consider leaving

Britain advised its nationals in Syria on Wednesday to consider leaving because of worsening security after weeks of protests against President Bashar al-Assad.

"In light of the deterioration in the security situation in Syria we have amended our travel advice to inform British nationals that they should consider leaving Syria by commercial means," the Foreign Office said in a statement. (Reuters)
