Ferry sinks with 100 aboard in Bangladesh; 3 dead

A police official says a ferry carrying about 100 passengers has capsized in a river in eastern Bangladesh, leaving three people dead and dozens missing.
Local police chief Jamil Ahmed says the ferry apparently hit the wreckage of another ferry in the River Meghna in Brahmanbaria. He says many passengers were able to swim ashore after Thursday's accident. (AP)
