Turkey declares support for Palestinian quest for statehood

Turkey has declared that it supports Palestinian efforts to seek UN recognition for an independent Palestinian state, the Turkish daily Zaman reported Saturday.
A statement by Turkish Ambassador to the UN Ertugrul Apakan zaman said that is was "time for the international community to be in solidarity with Palestinians to help them live in peace and with dignity." (Ynet)
