Report: Russia ready to mediate Libya conflict
Russia is ready to play a mediating role in the settlement of the current situation in Libya, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev told Greek Prime Minister Georgios Papandreou, Moscow's Itar-Tass news agency reported.
“In the discussion on... the situation in Libya and around the country, the sides noted that the necessary solution to Libya's domestic problems must be achieved in peaceful ways... Both sides confirmed that they are ready to serves as mediators in this conflict,” the Kremlin's press service reported. (News Agencies)
