Minister Vilnai: Netanyahu should facilitate Palestinian state

Minister for Home Front Defense Matan Vilnai commented Saturday on the Palestinian Authority's efforts to gain unilateral recognition for a Palestinian state, saying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should strive to allow that.
"Netanyahu should do what Begin did, in defiance of some of his party members' opinion and facilitate the inception of a Palestinian state alongside Israel." Vilnai added Israel cannot afford a unilateral declaration of statehood by the Palestinians. (Attila Somfalvi)
