Hamas official: Negotiations with Israel not part of agreement

Hamas official Mahmoud al-Zahar said in reference to the new unity pact between Hamas and Fatah, "Our program does not include negotiations with Israel or recognizing it."

Speaking in Cairo al-Zahar added that "it will not be possible for the interim national government to participate or bet on or work on the peace process with Israel." (Reuters)
