Reshuffling his national security team, President Barack Obama is aiming for maximum continuity, installing road-tested players steeped in his policies on diplomacy and war.
Obama is to announce Thursday that CIA Director Leon Panetta will replace Defense Secretary Robert Gates when Gates makes his long-planned exit this summer. That's according to a senior administration official speaking on condition of anonymity in advance of the announcement. (AP)
