US: Tornado outbreak 2nd deadliest on record
The April 27-28 tornado outbreak in the United States is the second-deadliest single day for tornadoes since record keeping began, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said.
The outbreak is also on record as experiencing the most number of tornadoes in a single day. The official state death toll is now at 340, the agency said. (News Agencies)
