Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood to participate in September elections

The Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's powerful Islamist opposition movement, announced Saturday the creation of their own party that will participate in the September elections. The new party was called the "Party of Freedom and Justice," Secretary General of the brotherhood, Mohammed Hussein, said in a press conference.
The party will be headed by a Muslim Brotherhood politburo member, Mohammed al-Mursi. (AFP)
