Bank of Israel announces banknote design competition

The Bank of Israel will hold a competition for the design of the next series of paper money. Guidelines for the competition, which will be open to the public, are expected to be released in the coming days.

The government has recently approved Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer's decision to adopt the recommendation of the Public Committee for the Planning of Banknotes and Coins to feature images of the poets Rachel Bluwstein, Shaul Tchernichovsky, Leah Goldberg an Natan Alterman on the bills.
