Hamas says ready to pay any price for Palestinian unity

Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal said on Wednesday that his Islamist group was "ready to pay any price" for reconciliation among Palestinians, the Arabic satellite channel Al-Arabiya reported.

He was speaking at a ceremony in Egypt to endorse a deal to heal a four-year rift between Hamas and the Fatah movement led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. (Reuters)
