Cyprus upgrades Palestinian delegation status

Cyprus' government spokesman says the status of the office of "the Palestinian general delegation" on the east Mediterranean island has been upgraded to a "diplomatic mission."
Stefanos Stefanou told the AP on Friday that the "head of mission" posting has also been upgraded to "ambassador," entitled to present his credentials to the Cypriot president. (AP)
