Palestinian report: Israeli mediator for Shalit deal to visit Egypt
Israeli negotiator in charge of efforts to return captive soldier Gilad Shalit, David Meidan, is expected to arrive in Egypt in the next few days to meet senior officials and discuss the deal tor release Shalit, according to Palestinian newspaper Al-Manar quoting an Egyptian official.
According to the report, there are high hopes of reaching a deal by mid-June 2011. (Elior Levy)
