IDF to compensate Nablus resident for damaged property
The Haifa District Court has ordered the IDF to pay a compensation of NIS 430,000 and legal fees to an owner of a recreational facility in Nablus, for damages that IDF troops caused it.
The facility was damaged while it was used by IDF troops in the beginning of 2003 for storage and lodging. The court ruled that the damage was not done as part of a military operation, which would exempt the state from liability. (Ahiya Raved)
