Remembering Israel's fallen

Ynet joins the nation in commemorating those who gave their lives in service of their country and those lost to terror attacks, and invites readers to share their personal stories

A one minute siren sounded across Israel Sunday night, solemnly ushering in the country's Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terrorism Remembrance Day.

A second, two-minute siren will sound across Israel on Monday morning, honoring the 22,867 fallen soldiers and terror attack victims.

On this somber day, which seems to have touched each and every Israeli life in some way or another, Ynet is breaking away from its normal news coverage to remember, and pay homage to, the faces and the names lost to us and to you – those who gave their lives in the service of their country or have been viciously taken from us before their time.

Today, Israel's communal grief knows neither physical boundaries, nor cultural or political ones. Today, Israel is one family, united in grief.

Ynet joins the nation in commemorating the fallen and invites you, our readers, to share you memories of your loved ones.
