Jordan says 20 citizens detained in Syria
Jordan says it is trying to secure the release of 20 Jordanians detained by Syrian security forces.
The announcement comes as authorities in Syria have stepped up a campaign of violence and arrests as a seven-week-old uprising against President Bashar Assad's regime has spread nationwide. (AP)
