Deserting soldier from Havat Gilad discharged from IDF
Shimon Weisman, who refused to go back to the army after his home in Havat Gilad was demolished, was discharged from the IDF Sunday after serving 30 days in prison.
Weisman's associates said it was unfortunate that he was discharged on Memorial Day of all days. They also said he had begun building a permanent residence atop the ruins of the home that had been destroyed. (Yair Altman)
