French president wishes Israel 'just peace'

French President Nicolas Sarkozy sent a greeting card to President Shimon Peres in honor of Israel's 63rd Independence Day.

"My wish is that in 2011 we'll be able to establish just and long-term peace in the region," Sarkozy wrote, adding that "such peace will be the best guarantee for the security of the people in Israel." (Ronen Medzini)
