Defense official: Israel isn't facing nuclear threat

Head of the Defense Ministry's Diplomatic-Security Bureau Amos Gilad said that Israel is not facing a nuclear threat. He did note, however, that Iran is determined to obtain nuclear arms.

Gilad, who spoke during the Israeli Bar Association's Tel Aviv District Committee conference in Eilat, stressed that Hamas "is not just another Palestinian organization, but a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood." He also added that defense-wise, Israel is in one of its best periods - despite the unrest in the Arab world. (Naama Cohen-Friedman)
