None

The Knesset's Finance Committee approved the Finance Ministry's proposal to cut NIS 800 million ($229.9 million) annually from the state's budget for 2011 and 2012.

The cuts make up 1.5% of the state's annual budget. Some NIS 300 million  ($86.2 million) of the funds would be used to finance the government decision to reduce the price of public transportation, while the remaining NIS 500 million ($143.7 million) would be allocated to the budgets of the Home Front Command and the Fire Department.
