US official visits Israel, 'concerned' over Syria violence

US Deputy Secretary of State Jim Steinberg said that the US, like Israel, is also deeply concerned over the Syrian regime's actions and that steps taken together with the EU send a message to Damascus to change its ways.

Steinberg made the statements during a strategic dialogue conference in Jerusalem which was also attended by Deputy FM Daniel Ayalon. (Ronen Medzini)
