Gulf foreign ministers to meet over Yemen crisis

Gulf Arab foreign ministers will meet in an extraordinary session in the coming days to discuss Yemen after a Gulf-brokered near deal on a transition of power for their poorer neighbor fell through for a second time, a Yemeni opposition official said.

"The Cooperation Council informed us of a meeting of Gulf foreign ministers that will be devoted to discussing the special Yemen initiative," Mohammed Basindwa, an opposition figure tipped as a possible interim prime minister, said on Thursday. (Reuters)
