Erekat: Palestinian leadership welcomes Obama's peace efforts

Fatah Central Committee member Saeb Erekat said the Palestinian leadership welcomed US President Barak Obama's efforts to renew talks with Israel, adding that it was willing to implement its obligations according to the international parameters with the hopes that Israel does the same.

"President Abbas expresses his appreciation of the continuous efforts exerted by President Obama with the objective of resuming the permanent status talks in the hope of reaching a final status agreement," said Erekat. (Reuters)
