Barak: Only position of power will allow us to reach peace

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said at the Knesset plenum that "We are in the midst of a historic stir that encompasses the entire Middle East, the results of which are still unknown.

"The Middle East is a tough environment; there is no mercy for the weak, and there never will be," he added, minutes before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu began his speech in the US Congress.
