PM: Time for Abbas to accept Jewish state

None

"Abbas must do what I have done: I stood before my people and I said I would accept a Palestinian state," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in his US Congress adress. "It's time for President Abbas to stand before his people and say: I accept a Jewish state.

"Those six words would change history," he said. "They would make it clear to the Palestinians that the conflict must come to an end… they will convince Israel that they have a true partner for peace." He added that this move would prompt him to make a "far-reaching compromise," which would have to take into consideration the demographic changes that have occurred in the region since 1967.
