PM to Abbas: Tear up pact with Hamas

"Peace can only be negotiated with partners for peace," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in his US Congress speech. "Hamas is not a partner for peace. They remain committed for terror.
"Israel is ready to sit down today… But Israel will not negotiate with a Palestinian government backed by al-Qaeda," he said. "So I say to President Abbas: Tear up your pact with Hamas, sit down and negotiate, make peace with the Jewish state." He added that if Abbas does so, Israel would be the first to welcome a Palestinian state. (Attila Somfalvi, Yitzhak Benhorin)
