Tibi: PM mislead Congress with statements about Arab rights

MK Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List-Ta'al) responded to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's US Congress speech, saying that "the prime minister mislead the members of Congress with his statements about the true rights of the Arab minority, and made a false presentation.

"There is not one field where equality exists between Jews and Arabs," Tibi said. "The repeated applause for Netanyahu is an expression of a double standard and of flattery by those who think that giving Arabs food and drink and wages means democracy and equality. After this speech, the Congress members might mistakenly conclude that we're living in thriving Switzerland, and not in trudging Tayibe." (Ronen Medzini and Hassan Shaalan)
