Israel Prison Service searches for study partner for Yigal Amir

Israel Prison Service is searching for a study partner for Yigal Amir, the Israeli assassin of Prime Minister of Israel Yitzhak Rabin, which will study with Amir once every two weeks.
This decision followed Amir's appeal earlier this month to the High Court of Justice over a Petah Tikva District Court ruling saying he must remain in solitary confinement. Amir had claimed he was discriminated against: He is held in solitary confinement, said the appeal, while other prisoners – including serial killers, security prisoners, rapists and child molesters – were not.
