Sarkozy: Intensify NATO-led campaign in Libya

French President Nicolas Sarkozy says allied forces want to step up the NATO-led military operation in Libya. Sarkozy says there is "great unanimity" about an "intensification of the military intervention" to protect civilians from Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi's forces. He did not say how.
Sarkozy spoke Friday after a summit with President Barack Obama and other leaders of the Group of Eight industrialized nations in the French resort of Deauville. He said Gaddafi will "pay the consequences" if he doesn't leave power. (AP)
