$1.5M in Iraqi Airways assets frozen in Jordan

None

An Iraqi spokesman says $1.5 million worth of assets belonging to Iraq's national airline have been frozen in Jordan.

Authorities there were acting on a legal request from Kuwait, which is seeking reparations from Iraq in a dispute dating back to the 1990 invasion in the Gulf War. Kuwait accuses Iraq of stealing 10 airplanes and millions of dollars in equipment and spare parts. (AP)
