IDF soldiers do Fruit Ninja live
(Video) Engineering Corps troops slashes at produce with machete in new YouTube clip
VIDEO - Israel Defense Forces soldiers have turned popular iPhone game "Fruit Ninja" into a live hit.
Audio from the game is also present in the clip, courtesy of an iPhone belonging to one of the troops.
In a new YouTube video, soldiers from the Engineering Corps throw produce at their machete-wielding comrade, who slices at them, often unsuccessfully.
"We taped it before Passover," one of the soldiers told Yedioth Ahronoth. "It was Saturday evening at the base and we were all a bit bored, so we decided to tape an IDF version of the game."
The soldiers used produce that was no longer edible, which they gleaned from the base's dining hall.
After uploading the clip to Facebook they noticed it was getting a lot of hits, so they decided to place it on You Tube as well. "People love it," the soldier said.
