The Beersheba District Court has sentenced Monir Halabi, a former senior warden at Ketziot Prison, to 20 months in prison for providing terror convicts with cellular phones.
Halabi was convicted in accordance with a plea bargain citing bribery, breach of trust, and fraud charges. In one case, it says, he received $6,000 for a phone he conveyed to a member of the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades. (Ilana Curiel)
