Peres: UN leading PA on; only way to statehood is peace talks

President Shimon Peres met Sunday with Deputy UN Secretary-General Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro and said that "the UN is leading the Palestinians to believe a state can be declared without first meeting Israel's security needs.
"A Palestinian state will become possible only through direct, discrete negotiations between the two parties," he added. (Omri Efraim)
