The French prime minister's office has announced the resignation of a junior minister, who faces a preliminary investigation for sexual assault.
A statement Sunday said that Georges Tron, junior minister for the civil service, acted in the general interest by resigning but doing so does not prejudice his case. Tron denies wrongdoing. (AP)
