Judoka Arik Ze'evi, who is competing in the under 100 kg category, took the gold in the Grand Slam in Moscow, defeating the French contender Cyrille Maret, who ranks 25th in the world.
In the semi-finals Ze'evi defeated the current world champion, Maxim Rakov from Kazakhstan, with an ippon 2:30 minutes into the fight. (Oren Aharoni)
