Court won't call recess on Katsav appeal

None

The Supreme Court has rejected a plea by attorneys representing former President Moshe Katsav, who was convicted of rape, to postpone the hearing on his appeal in order to allow them to vacation with their families over the summer.

The justices explained that it was necessary to decide on the appeal within a short period of time, and that the court would attempt to schedule hearings over the summer. (Aviad Glickman)
