Noam Shalit: How can a strong country fail to bring back its soldier
Noam Shalit, the father of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit, slammed the Israeli leadership during a speech in Jerusalem, saying "for five years – an IDF fighter who was sent to protect the borders – has not been retrieved because of a chain of failures.
"How can the State of Israel, with its strong army and intelligence, can't bring back its soldier, who is held by a terror gang in a basement a few kilometers from its border," he said. (Yair Altman)
