Finance minister: Betterment tax to be imposed on 2nd apartment
Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz announced that as of 2013, a betterment tax would be imposed on a citizen's second apartment.
"The message is very clear," he said. "Whoever has apartments for investment and wants to sell them and be exempt of betterment tax had better do it in the 19 months left until 2013." (Avital Lahav)
