Pakistani jets kill 18 in attacks on militants

A Pakistani government official says fighter jets have attacked militant positions in a tribal region close to the Afghan border, killing at least 18 suspected insurgents.

Jahanzeb Khan says five targets in Mirkalam Khel and Akhon Kot were hit on Tuesday. Both places are in the Orakzai region. (AP)
