Human rights groups petition court to curb IDF use of white phosphorus

Human rights and left-wing activists have petitioned the High Court of Justice with a request to prohibit the IDF from using ammunition that contains white phosphorus in residential areas.

"Just like the use of poisonous pesticides is limited to open agricultural areas, so should the use of white phosphorus-containing ammunition be limited," the petitioners wrote. "The use of white phosphorus is illegal and immoral." (Aviad Glickman)
