Defense Ministry begins setting up fence at border with Egypt

The Defense Ministry began placing the fence at Israel's border with Egypt. Defense Ministry Director General Udi Shani said that a drop of 50% in the number of infiltrators from Egypt has been recorded since the foundations work started at the beginning of the year.
The placement of 100 kilometres of the fence is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2011. (Hanan Greenberg)
