Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved a recommendation by Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen to appoint N. as his deputy. N., 51, has previously served as the Shin Bet's head of operations and head of foreign security. He is scheduled to assume the position within two months. (Hanan Greenberg)
