Yemen shells tribal leaders' homes after palace attack

Yemeni forces loyal to President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Friday shelled the homes of the leaders of a powerful tribal federation at the forefront of deadly street fighting in the capital, security sources told Reuters.

In a separate report, Al Arabiya TV said the government blamed the tribal group led by Sadeq al-Ahmar for an attack on Friday at the presidential palace that injured government officials. (Reuters)
