None

The Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs approved a bill proposed by MK Carmel Shama that would sentence anyone who is convicted of maintaining commercial ties with Iran to one year in prison.

The bill calls for the perpetrator to also pay a NIS 5 million ($1.48 million) fine, or alternately pay a fine worth three times the expected profit amount. The bill was submitted for a preliminary reading at the Knesset. (Aviad Glickman)
