Senior officer: IDF using minimal fire on Syrian protesters

A senior Northern Command officer said that the IDF is using minimal fire force against the Syrian protesters who approach the border, but noted that "the force of the fire depends on the events before us. The more citizens retreat, the less fire we'll use, and if they attempt to come closer to the fence, we will increase it."

The officer added that the forces "are prepared to continue preventing the Syrian citizens from reaching the border day and night, and if necessary, tomorrow and the next day." (Hanan Greenberg)
