IDF: We showed restraint, Syrian casualty figures inflated
IDF officials said that forces along the Syrian border showed restraint during clashes with rioters aiming to breach the border fence, adding that Syrian casualty figures were inflated.
“We could have taken the easier route of uncontrolled fire, but we decided to operate in a very limited manner,” one army official said.
Earlier, Syrian officials said 23 people were killed by the IDF and some 350 were wounded. (Hanan Greenberg)
