IDF successfully completes test of cell phone alert system

Home Front Command has completed an initial test of a cell phone alert system in Ofakim. As part of the experiment, some 250 cell phones were spread across the town and outside it.

The head of the IDF's teleprocessing branch said that an initial examination of the results shows that the test messages reached their destination. (Hanan Greenberg)
