White House: Support for IMF selection process

The United States supports the timetable laid out to select a new International Monetary Fund chief, and wants to see the best candidate chosen, White House spokesman Jay Carney said on Monday.
"It is certainly possible" that the replacement for Dominique Strauss-Kahn will be discussed at a meeting of US President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Washington on Tuesday, Carney said. (Reuters)
