UN human rights chief: Israel has to avoid use of excessive force

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay said she was "deeply troubled" by the latest clashes on the Syria-Israel border, where she said between 30 and 40 people were killed.

"The government of Israel has a duty to ensure that its security personnel avoid the use of excessive force," said the Pillay. (AFP)
